Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-1pm
During these hours enquiries can be made at the reception and the library is staffed by volunteers.
The Clerk’s Office is open as follows
Monday 8am-1pm
Tuesday 8am – 4pm
Wednesday 8am – 1pm
Thursday 8am – 4pm
Friday 8am – 1pm

This airy and welcoming multi-purpose space is home to East Cowes Community Library. There are easy chairs and cafe style seating – ideal for meeting informally with friends for a catch up, popping in to read the newspaper, play a board game, access the public use laptop and wifi. It is also a great environment to spend a few hours working away from home. There are regular activities going on too such as Under 5s Rhyme Time, Creative Writing, a Poetry Group and a Reading Group.
The meeting room is available for hire. There is a projector and screen for meetings as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

East Cowes Community Library
The library is staffed by the Town Council Library Co-ordinator and a host of dedicated volunteers providing access to the following services:
Adult and children’s books to browse and borrow
Books to request from stock or library service order
Monthly reading group and creative writing group
Weekly Rhyme Time and Story Time
Bus pass applications, printing and copying
Free wifi and laptop computer access
Help with enquiries, information and onward support
A comfortable space to read newspapers and relax
A winter “Warm Space” with free coffee, tea or soup
